Weddings & Events
For a truly unique wedding, ceremonies for up to 50 people can be held in the Tropical, Desert or Show Domes at the Mitchell Park Domes during regular opening hours.
A ceremony permit is required for ceremonies, plus admission per person. Permits are for two hours and include photography at your selected site. For private ceremonies, an after-hours rental is required.
Bookings for ceremony permits are accepted up to three years in advance and are available year-round, except on days when special events are scheduled. When you're planning your event, keep in mind that areas inside the three Domes are not air conditioned and will still be open to public visitors.
Receptions & Banquets
Larger private rentals for up to 500 guests and private after-hours events, are also available for receptions in the Atrium or Greenhouse No. 7 through our catering partner, Zilli Hospitality Group.
Seated, catered events for up 275 guests, or cocktail events for up to 500 guests are available through Zilli Hospitality Group, the exclusive caterer at The Domes.
For a memorable event in a one-of-a-kind setting, treat your guests to the unique experience of dining and dancing in a “glass house” under the stars in Greenhouse No.7. Greenhouse No. 7 features over-sized amber globe chandeliers, an entryway adorned with shiplap, birch columns and cascading LED accent lights. The 7,600 square foot space allows for versatility and creativity with accommodations for wedding ceremonies, receptions and corporate events alike. Guest sizes range from up to 400 guests for a seated dinner to 600 guests for a more mix and mingle-style event
The Tropical, Desert and Show domes make stunning backdrops for wedding or engagement photos. Formal photography is available during regular open-hours for small groups. A Photography Permit must be purchased to reserve time at the Domes to take photographs.
